Cait and Jason’s Philadelphia Wedding at Merion Tribute House was one for the books… Considering how much fun we had during their engagement session last year in Manayunk, I knew then how awesome their wedding would be and they certainly did not disappoint. This year I’ve been blessed by an incredible number of really talented brides and Cait is definitely one of them. She envisioned a fun wedding full of colorful details to go along their Cinco de Mayo theme, but that also honored the city they now call home. She designed and created all the wedding stationary which were the perfect starting piece behind the wedding decor and flowers.
Their wedding day started out with a 100% rain prediction. It’s not something any couples wants for their wedding day, but these two were not going to let anything affect them on their most special day. Having a view like this from your hotel room certainly doesn’t hurt… 🙂
Their gorgeous colorful fiesta theme was perfectly balanced with these gorgeous bridesmaids dresses in different shades of gray from Show me your Mumu, not to mention her absolutely stunning dress from Christina Wu.
How gorgeous is her boho inspired long braid and hair flowers?
They had always envisioned doing their first look at the Philadelphia City Hall. They were worried about the rain of course but when we told them we could do it in the tunnel that runs across it, they were ecstatic.
I love love love this shot by my amazing second shooter Mackenzie capturing not only our beautiful couple but this incredible city we live in.
Once we knew there was going to be 100% chance of rain, we scrambled to find a place to do their photos. We were so incredibly lucky to find that the Horticulture Center was available. It provided such a gorgeous backdrop for their wedding party photos.
After the ceremony we made our way to their gorgeous wedding venue, The Merion Tribute House. With the rain giving us a break, we took the opportunity to get some more photos done.
Given the cinco de mayo theme for their wedding, everyone was invited to partake in a celebratory tequila shot… 🙂
With the incredibly gorgeous details already out, Cait was not done… She had one last surprise with this stunning second wedding dress from Weekend Wedding Dress and incredible flower crown by Amaranth Florist.
At the end of the reception, the guests were delighted with these scrumptious desserts. YUM!!!
